I have a street/road that runs along my back property line. This property line is 90 feet long east to west. The back of the house is 45-50 feet directly south of this property line.
I would like to monitor motion (cars, people, animals) traveling on this road from both directions. I’d like to conceal the camera such that people won’t know it’s there and, hence, tamper with it.
I could set up two back to back cameras - one pointing east and one pointing west - and conceal them in a ‘box or cover’ of some sort. But there would be a dead spot in the middle.
I would probably opt for the SoloCam models, that have a detachable solar panel since you plan on concealing the cameras.
You might be good with one camera as some of them have 360°tracking, mounting it in a little closer towards your home, but I don’t know if you have trees or foliage blocking the road.
You can attach your own battery/solar power to the Eufy SS3380 Solar Outdoor Home Base system. In the “Settings” for the camera under “battery” there is options to decide where the power/battery is set. This would suggest external solar panel. So concealing the outdoor cameras should be easy to do. Ensuring that the solar panels are within full view of the sun. I’d suggest getting a backup hard drive or something if you have lots of movement as the cameras will fill up and not save clips if storage is maxed on Home Base
I’ve been toying with a bird house design where I can hide 3 S220 cameras in the attic. East-North-West. They are very small and will link with my Homebase 3. The roof on the birdhouse will be clear so the sun should keep things charged.
The birdhouse design will be functional but will be designed to attract birds to the south side of the house so to minimize capturing only shots of birds.
The bird house would be mounted on an 8 ft. pole on my north property line.

Yeah, you’ll need to use a HomeBase3 if you want more detection options, as the S220 camera alone only has Human Detection and All other Motion.
