Ai tracking doe

Ai tracking does great with cars going by but only spots humans 1/4 of the time. Raised sensitivity and tried diff preset positions but no luck. Is it too high or too far?

Hi, it does look mounted a bit too high. 9 ft 10 inches is Max height.

Motion sensor can detect objects lateral moving up to 25-30ft (8-10m) away.

The PIR motion sensor detects temperature changes, so yeah it’ll pick up vehicles (that have been running for a while) at a farther distance cuz they generate a lot more heat than a human would.
Plus probably lowering the camera a little would help to pick up more of the humans body frame.
passive infrared (PIR) sensors don’t emit any energy . Instead, they detect movement with a pyroelectric sensor that senses changes in the infrared radiation naturally emitted by living beings and objects warmer than absolute zero.

Hi, yes @jd164 is correct. The human on the far-away road is a small object, the distance and the size make the AI difficult to work, and then difficult to follow. Suggest lower the angle of the camera.

Yes it does seem a bit to high
