Anyone else hav

Anyone else have neighbors that have no consideration for others or boundaries? Multiple times have neighbors kids and now the parents chasing their new kitten onto our front yard. They don’t seem to understand walking on our rocks and near plants can break the drip lines/sprinklers causing them to spray out into the streets when they come on our property wasting tons of water. Each night now our yard and driveway turns into a playground with riding bikes and playing volleyball etc. Sometimes have caught them chasing their kitten under our cars so they are around our cars too as they try to get it out. Have confronted them multiple times & get the same sorry. Ask them if it’s an outdoor cat since we have two big husky/german shepherd mixes & it would be bad if they let that cat get loose in our backyard. They just don’t get it or just don’t care. Have cameras back there too now just incase. Just don’t know how to get the message across to respect me & my wife’s property. Any thoughts?

This seems to be one of those, “live and learn” moments or “learn the hard way”. Until a bill shows for repairs or something happens to the  it won’t click in. You work really hard to own your property, belongs, and try to be a good neighbour/person. Some people just don’t care or feel entitled. There might not be much you can do. Document everything, document conversations, keep recordings. Perhaps one of those things little garden fences along the property line? Perhaps look into ways that you can keep the  off of your property? Again, this cat isn’t your responsibility but they need to understand they can’t be going on your property. Talk to your local by-law/call non-emergency police officer and speak to them. I only see lawyer involvement. Again not sure if that’s the course of action you wanna take. Also, I’m not sure if this was even at all helpful because I’m sure you know all of these points.

Yeah it’s pretty much why I upgraded cameras to record everything and put a 5TB drive in the homebase. It’s pretty much the f around and find out now. Thanks though for helping me know I am not in the wrong here. It only seems to get worse with them but will document it all and see what happens when they really mess up and it costs them. Thanks.

You’re welcome! You’re not in the wrong. Day by day. It’s annoying, but actions have consequences.

Wait till it happens to you then. kids and kittens can do damage to personal property. The parents which are the ones in the video walking on our property and our drip lines have had the kitten escape multiple times and their kids in other incidents have hit our house and windows with their volleyball. So just wait till you have to deal with neighbors like these. It’s not just some first or isolated incident.

Seems like a perfect location for the camera to catch every thing in the front

Awful.
