Anyone having the issue in the new app version of the group control shortcuts on the opening screen not showing up when the app opens on a fresh start? You have to pull down to refresh the page and then the shortcut buttons appear above your devices.
Also, it takes multiple touches on the shortcut buttons to actually get them to activate. It’s like they’re not registering the touches.
The opening screens show all of my devices but they aren’t as responsive as I recall them being not too long ago. I have to tap on them several times before they load up but show no activities, ie 0 kb/s, until I restart the device from the settings.
I have been posting this issue 2 app updates ago and this new 3rd update changed nothing as I have the same problem with having to pull the screen down to refresh just for the arm/disarm icon short cuts to appear at the top. I wish Eufy would monitor this forum .
Might be tried and tested. Depends on your device and app version. Try deleting the app restarting the phone and downloading a fresh copy! I know the video feed only updates the 1st camera after I pull down. The rest I need to click/view!
I contacted Eufy and they said shortcuts not showing until a page refresh is by design and they have no plans to change this. They didn’t comment about the button press unresponsiveness.
Now I received the new app 5.0.50_7673 for Android phone and it’s screwed up even more as apon opening the app it now defaults to all devices instead of home. These app updates are getting worse and worse. The other thing with this issue is on my Android tablet with new update is fine it defaults to home.
Takes 3 to 5 minutes to even use the app once I launch it. Too much garbage going on in the background before the app lets us use it. Accessing my 5 cameras and Homebase seem to be an after thought when they updated this app. 90% of the complaints on Google Play Store are about this lag. The previous version let me access camera live view or events within 20 seconds of launching the app. This new one is practically useless. What’s the use of getting event notifications if the app won’t even let you view them in a reasonable amount of time. Obviously eufy doesn’t care about their customers complaints since they haven’t tried to fix the problems. I’m not sure why they thought it was a good idea to be able to access my eufy fitness scale more easily on this security app then my cameras. My firewall shows this app connecting to over 3 dozen websites when the app is launched. Seems like the app has to connect to all their servers before it let’s you use the app, so if their servers ever go down our cameras become expensive wall ornaments.
Exact same issue for me. My phone goes to all devices. My wife’s is fine and goes to last tab we have it set on. Both on .7673 the latest. I’ve uninstalled, cleared data, signed out. Same result.

I am now having both issues, home and away missing until you pull down to refresh and the stupidness of it opening with all devises instead of my home. Getting tired of this quickly
You’d think Eufy would monitor their own forums for problems. 
They don’t, I had a Arlo system 2yrs ago that turned into problem after problem and dumped it for Eufy and Arlo did monitor there forums. Eufy is 100% better then Arlo but there app is really starting to suck and they need to fire the app developer programmer as they have no idea how to do it.
Getting more and more issues in the app similar to original post. And it’s getting worse with the new update. Now you land on “all devices” by default and even reloading doesn’t show the shortcuts unless you select your system.
Mine gets worse and worse with every update. Every morning I have to open the app, refresh it a few times, reboot the home base. And then if I’m lucky I’ll start receiving notifications. And they will start recording activity. It’s so frustrating. I’m about ready to switch to another brand.
Literally came here to say this. What good is the security function is I can’t set it from the home screen
