Like a lot of you, I wanted my Eufy cameras on my TV and ran into the same wall: there’s no Eufy app for Apple TV. Pulling up a phone to check the driveway never felt right when there’s a 65" screen in the room.
So I built one for myself. It’s a viewer for RTSP cameras on Apple TV, and my Eufy cameras have been running in it for months now without a hiccup.
Getting Eufy into it takes about a minute:
- In the Eufy app, open your camera → Settings → NAS / RTSP, switch RTSP on and note the username and password it shows you
- Find your HomeBase’s IP address (your router’s device list will show it)
- In the app, add a camera, pick **Eufy** as the brand and fill in the HomeBase address plus those credentials
That’s it; the stream shows up alongside my other cameras in the same wall view.
Being straight with you about the limits, because RTSP on Eufy isn’t universal:
- Battery-powered models are hit and miss — they aren’t built to stream continuously
- Eufy gives you one stream per camera, no low-res substream. Fine for a handful of cameras; if you’re running a big wall of them, keep an eye on your network
- The video never leaves your network — it goes straight from the HomeBase to the Apple TV
It’s called Eagle Cam Viewer on the tvOS App Store. It’s free to try for 14 days with everything unlocked, and a one-time purchase after that; no subscription, no account, no data collection.
I’m posting here because this forum is where I’d have wanted to find it. If you try it with a Eufy setup, I’d genuinely like to hear which models work for you. I only have 8 here to test with, and I’d like to make the Eufy side better. Happy to answer any questions in this thread.
