It must be a real threat living somewhere with bears but I would love to have the chance to see them in the wild obviously not too close lol

They are black bears and not a threat at all as long as you don’t startle or threaten them.
They are very use to being around people now and as long as you ignore them they ignore you. I love having a home that is so close to where they spend at least 8 months of the year. We have bears lots of coyotes, raccoons and beautiful birds

Oh hell no! I’d of made a dang mess!

Good to stay aware. I’ve walked past bears and didn’t even know it until someone saw me and told me I just walked past a bear. Be especially aware of mother’s and cubs, but I bet you know that.

Not a threat at all? They definitely are. You actually described how they become a threat in the next sentence. It would be easy to startle them on accident… say going for a jog with headphones on & you didn’t notice it. Now what if that black bear you just startled has cubs nearby? I’d say you prob just met a date with your maker.

I’m more wary of humans than these bears. Humans are way more unpredictable. If the bears were a threat to us the city would have made sure to remove them but they are not as long as you behave yourself. Even a mother bear if she felt threatened charges without actually attacking you as a warning only. They eat fruit, fish plants they are not aggressive like humans can be. So my point is we live in harmony and can coexist if we offer respect. Btw these are Black bears not Grizzlies a total different kettle of fish:laughing:
