Hi - first time, please forgive me. How do you set the distance a camera will detect movement? Or is there a range when motion is detected? I want to capture the guy who is driving on my lawn near the street. I don’t want to record ever car that passes. Thanks. Bill

There really isn’t a “distance “ setting most cameras have a sensitive setting though. What model camera do you have

most are under motion detection section under the camera settings. But you might just have to adjust the angle of the camera. You can also set up a “activity” zone that excludes the street. That is also under motion setting

Hi Eric. Thanks do much for getting back to me. I want to sound like I know something about what I’m asking so let me do some homework and I’ll get back to you. I’ll start with the information you provided.

Best regards,

setting up a activity zone for where you want it to record is pretty easy. You will figure it out but don’t hesitate to ask questions

Lol
