I have tested the cameras with the Motion Test. All of them consistently indicate, by the flashing red light, that movement is being registered by the camera when movement occurs at a range of distances and angles to the camera. What is not happening is the movement is only erratically being converted into an alert. So is it the hub or more likely the software that is the culprit?
All cameras have a reasonable Wi-Fi signal.
One of the cameras I have pointing to the front of our house, where vehicles pass, it will alert me to a vehicle passing even if they are well beyond the activity zone set. Also beyond 25m of the camera.
In addition I would advise 2 cameras are located in different locations looking towards the road in front of our house. Neither of them alert me to the same motion event as it occurs. Both don’t record every motion event of both vehicles and people on my driveway.
- All my testing has involved a range between maximum and minimum sensitivity.
- All motion and just human.
- Different angles for the cameras.
- With and without activity zones.
Any suggestions? Some social media sites suggest a January update has caused problems.
During all this my £25 Neos cameras I was looking to upgrade capture everything.
All so frustrating.
