eufy doorbell camera changes to human recognition disabled on its own

I’ve had the doorbell camera for a few months and I’m generally pleased with it’s performance.
In the last 2 weeks I noticed that I didn’t receive an alert when someone was approaching the camera.
When I look at the app and the camera ‘picture’ in the app there is a read camera that says human presence detection is disabled. When I go into the camera settings it is not disabled. I am not using geofence and I have no schedules set up for the device.
If I set human detection to disabled, exit the app, go back in the app and re-enable it, the red warning icon disappears and it starts to work as expected again.
This has happened twice now in the space of a week and is annoying to say the least.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Any thoughts on what could be going on?
Many Thanks.

Same. I’m been having this same issue for about 2 weeks now. I’ll fix it and then whenever I check my camera it’s been disabled again all on its own.

Update:
I just unplugged my homebase and for a few then plugged it back in. Good to go it seems and it’s been a few days.

I’ve decided to go back to my Ring doorbell. The Eufy Doorbell camera is useless if it doesn’t detect anyone approaching my door.
It was good while it lasted but I would rather pay a yearly subscription to Ring than have a basic doorbell from Eufy that doesn’t suit my needs. i.e. WORK all the time.

Update app and camera settings

Everything has been working fine for months. This has only just started happening. Maybe it was an update that started this off.
I can go into settings and toggle a few to reset everything and it starts to work OK. After a few days it stops working again as presence detection is disabled. This is happening with no interaction from me as explained in my original post.

A factory reset may help. I’ve had to do this before. Then re-add it to the app.
