I recently installed the 3-camera E40 kit (solar plus 2) with the HomeBase 2. Everything is working great so far, but I was wondering if there is a way to automatically turn the “Motion Activated light” (spotlight settings) on or off, depending on the system’s mode (Home, Sleep, Away, etc.). For example, if I am at home and have this feature enabled, I currently have to go into each camera’s settings to turn it off manually, so the spotlights don’t turn on when I go out on my balcony at night!
You can use the “smart” menu on the app to set different schedules for different modes. And use the modes to set light and/or sound alarm on or off.
I have home, away, sleep modes. And I use the schedule mode to automatically switch between home, away, and sleep modes. And I have light alarm turned on for sleep and away mode, but off for home mode. Hope that helps.
The light alarm
is something different than the Motion Activated light. This is an extra setting for my E40 cams (the new version, not the stand alone). It activates the light on every motion on every mode (even when on “disarmed” mode).
