Why is this still not an option?
It seems like one of the most common situations.
I want the system to be active when I’m 1) Asleep, 2) Away. This is the most basic expectation of a security system which eufy doesn’t seem to be able to handle

You Can!
Yes — eufy does support this kind of setup better than the earlier questions suggested. You can use Home, Away, and Custom/Sleep modes, and eufy’s schedule feature can switch between them at set times.
set a Custom/Sleep mode for when you’re asleep, and use Schedule or Geofencing for day/night switching.
IMPORTANTeufy also notes that schedules can override manual mode changes, so the timed mode will take over when it’s supposed to**.
If you would like me to explain this in detail just let me know thanks
No, it doesn’t do what I need it to. It doesn’t let you schedule geofencing, which is the whole - “I’m out of the house” thing - which I want during the day, while having “away” or similar set at night while sleeping. ‘Away’ isn’t the same as it detecting when you’ve actually left the house.
Eufy does support this, but not the way you’re describing.
“Away” is just a mode, not a live “no one is home” detector.
For what you want, use:
Home during the day.
Sleep at night.
Away only when you manually leave.
If your system supports it, set up a schedule or automation to switch modes automatically at set times.
Also note: on some Eufy setups, manual mode changes can override schedules .
Important: If you want true “left the house / came home” automation, that usually requires geofencing or a separate smart home automation setup, not just the basic Eufy mode system
