Good day…can anyone explain the spots that seem to be jumping around and how to remedy this?
Looks like very fine spider web with some moisture on it.
Agree, I recommend gently brooming to remove the web.
Just clean the lenses
It’s a spider line
Spider web
Spiderwebs! We have to clear them away all of the time but they always freak me out and look like lasers when they show up on the cameras.
Definitely a spider web. I seem to get them even with just infrared. Keeping lights off as much as possible helps prevent them, though of course that may not be possible and admittedly may somewhat defeat your attempts to secure the area. (I find setting my lights to light only on motion helps, and can be an even greater deterrent due to the startle effect. Also may get your attention better, too
It looks like a spider web with some moisture or some dust on the lens.
Thank you everyone… we will get up there and clean it. The cameras have only been up a week or so. But spiders looking to get in.for winter.
I found a trick to get rid of spiders on the cameras. Get some silicone spray and wet a paper towel with it then rub it all over the cameras and mounts just dont get it on the front and solar panel, I haven’t had a problem with spiders and there webs for many months but if you get a lot of rain you might have to do it more offten.
Thank you for posting this one. I have the same issues with my camera. I thought it may have been a defective camera lens.
Thank you, that sounds like a great idea to keep snow off as well.
