Having an issue where recording saved does not capture first 5 seconds. Thoughts on how to resolve?

I don’t have this camera but on mine there is an option for pre-recording, have a look into this
Not sure of this camera settings. My camera in setting you can go to (Detection Range) and set right and left range. Set (Out of Site Detection) and also do a (Test Mode) were you go Infront of the camera and it will beep when it detects your presents. One issue you may be having is the camera is set far back from the front and the buildings on either side may cause the camera from getting early detection.
You could set the cameras home position a little bit left so anyone coming from that direction will be more in the centre of the picture
