Hb3 got a firmw

Hb3 got a firmware update during the early morning hours. Is this going to fix our devices going offline?

Is this a common issue then? They have been giving me the run around and have replaced the home base, ive tried my own 4tb drive and the included 1tb one. They want to send me another 1tb to try.
I explained that twice now cameras have been showing as offline and that corresponds to when they are not recording but they still keep making me jump through hoops rather than acknowledging the issue

I see there is another update available on iPhone but I don’t dare do it yet. I just replaced my cable amplifier splitter that was 10 years old with a new one called a active return amplifier that feeds my cable modem and multiple cable boxes and I’m sure it’s just coincidence but my tvs haven’t had any more buffering and all my cameras have not gone off line knock on wood. Probably just coincidence though.

According to Reddit it’s been happening since the last firmware update. And we all get a run around when contacting support, in my case they suggested that I buy a second homebase3 to resolve the issue. I’m afraid to jinx it, but so far so good every time I open the app all cameras are still online, but some still seem to have some issues, I can try live view and it’s extremely slow, just that spinning circle and WiFi signal while it shows strong says 0.00.

I got better performance after making sure to update the WiFi bridge on the E220s and the C210, but it didn’t completely resolve the issue. I have IPhone, the update self installed in my case and so far everything is online whenever I open the app.

S380 HB ( Firmware 3678 )with two 4G LTE S330
Router 2m distance so no Wi-Fi issue.
two days in a row around 13:00 hour both stoped recording but I could use live view
help support useless AI sugestions.
I had to remove and ReAdd them to app.
for now monitoring the activity.
PS. Very disappointed and annoyed by the devices.

Thanks for letting us know. I didn’t realize or get notification that there was another update. I have been having problems with events not showing up or being extremely delayed…

My home base keeps getting the dreaded offline red dot. I didn’t know why. I’m also getting notified that the external storage has been removed - so there’s that too

Is it wireless or wired? May be a wireless issue try plugging in the Ethernet and see. Also check your network for interference.

That’s a big resounding no. I’ve had a homebase 2 and a homebase 3. They’ve NEVER worked as described and are basically unfit for purpose.
I even added a 1tb SSD, now my hb3 shows 1tb. The 1tb is additional so where’s the included storage space?
What with dozens of connection and operational issues narrowed down to being all Eufy/Anker faults, I spent 5 weeks in direct communication with them.
I have sent hours worth of videos showing issues, set-up problems, operation problems and got absolutely nowhere.
I gave up.
These guys shouldn’t be allowed to operate or trade.

Well the HD over rides the internal storage, it’s no longer being used and not being shown. I believe that 16 gigs is actually memory rather than say a small HD or SD card. So when you add to it, that 16 gigs likely defaults back as system memory.

The only way to know for sure what and where it is would be for someone to completely dismantle a HB looking for say an SD card…

I appreciate your input. The homebase 2 has 16gb storage and the homebase 3 has 16gb storage but is expandable using a sata 2.5" storage drive.

I checked the sales details prior to purchase and I’ve spoken directly with Eufy about this too. The sata drive shouldn’t override which is why it’s called expansion, this it expands on what is already there and not replaces.

One if the many misleading marketing specs provided prior to purchase.

Eufy are fully aware of this and ALL the other issues. I’ve spent 5 weeks highlighting every last detail to the customer service manager and technicians.

When they still came up with a grand total of nothing after myself giving far more information and detail than they ever did and can, the conclusion of “can’t fix, won’t fix” was made.

Everything returned for refund and got products that actually are as described and fit for purpose.

I find it literally criminal how these guys keep selling the same thing, with full knowledge of the bugs and issues and clearly have no intention of fixing them
