Hello, I’m new to the Eufy eco, so I need some advice from you guys. I have 3 solar cameras connect with the homebase 3. During power outage, all the camera turned off together with the homebase. I bought the solar-powered cameras to prevent interruption in recording during outage, so was kinda surprised. Is there anyways to prevent the cameras turning off with the homebase during outage?
Hi, I don’t think the cameras turned off..
It may just have been that the app could not detect the cameras any longer if the HomeBase powered off, the app would show the cameras as offline.
So, to prevent this you would want to get a battery backup (UPS) to power the HomeBase when a power outage occurs.
Eufy needs to do something about this..
When the HomeBase loses power and the cameras then are unable to record onto it, the cameras should be able to record onto its own internal memory in this event.
Oh, that’s good to know. Thank you!
If that’s the case then yeah, eufy should do something about it because we should be able to see the camera and the recording even when the homebase was off. It’s the whole meaning of going solar though
I belive as your now not using a cloud service to view the cameras or wifi your using local device so when that got turned off you couldn’t view it but I do believe they still record if they are battery cameras

jd164 is correct. If the Homebase loses power and the cameras are set to record to it then they will not record. The cameras will not turn off as they have their own solar power sources. They will have lost their recording medium however.
Eufy need to integrate an option to select a second (backup) recording medium. Either the built in eMMC or a memory card depending upon the type of camera.
I don’t believe other manufacturers afford this option so this would be a U.S.P. and a great marketing point.
Will anyone at Eufy accept the challenge? ![]()
Agree.
Eufy has recently released the home base professional ( in other countries I haven’t seen it in US🇺🇸 yet as of today 11-16-25 ) it has a claimed 24 hour back up battery. Apparently it’s compatible with most but not all cameras (yet)
