Hi everyone, I

Hi everyone, I charged my S3 Pro to 100% yesterday, removing the charger at about 16:00. This morning at around 07:30 the app is reporting 90% battery.

The camera has filmed maybe 6-8 events of my dog going for a pee, and 30 snapshots. Camera is connected to Apple HomeKit as well as automations run from the motion sensors.

Surely this can’t be right? I wouldn’t expect the battery to drop 10% this quickly… on the first few days I was losing 1-3% in 24 hours under the same circumstances.

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Turn thepet detection off. That’s probably what’s running down your battery so fast…
Your charge for the day should be able to bring up at least a few percent if not bring it back to full capacity…
I don’t kniw, I wired my s340 it was a little sensitive for the conditions I was using it in… It still is to sensitive for it…even wired…

Thank you, I did try this and although it helped marginally it wasnt really enough to warrant not having it on, especially as the main purpose of this particular camera is to keep an eye on our dog.

I ended up raising a ticket with support and there was actually a bug in my Homebase firmware version which was keeping the cameras awake when connected to HomeKit, updating the HB seems to have about 95% resolved this to a degree where the camera is usable and can be left for a while before needing charging rather than having to charge every 7-10 days.

Awsome, ya I’m going to end up taking mine down and putting it in the backyard were their isn’t as much activity…
I plan to replace the 2 set cameras I already have out in the back, that’ll now be covered by the S340…
It’ll be a win for me as well, it should be able to cover the same space with just the panning 349, while I’ll have three spot light cameras out in my right front, covering that part of the house, replacing the S340 and the S220 that are up there now…
My solution is just going to be a rotation of the camera’s I already have…
