Hi, I recently bought and installed a s330 cam to cover my back yard. I get even recordings on my back porch but not further out in the yard. My driveway is in view and my car is in frame but the camera doesn’t trigger an event when I walk to my car and drive away. I have the sensitivity set all the way up and every motion selected.
Maximum distance for reliable motion detection (human, vehicle, face, pet) is ~ 26ft @ ~9-10ft high. If you have it higher than that then the distance may be a little bit less. You can try fiddling with the angle if everything else is optimal, tilt the camera a bit to the left or right of what you want to capture. A good rule of thumb with most cameras like this is they detect much better when the target is moving across vs. towards or away. As you have all motion selected, it really should capture you unless something is really off so it may be an angle thing. If you can post a pic of what’s happening it might give us an idea of what the problem is.
Have you tried toggling the different types of night vision? Also, nothing else impeding line of sight?
Here’s an example. So I’ll walk from the right of the frame, across to my car and drive away and the camera doesn’t pick it up. It seems like I’ll have to try mounting the camera elsewhere.
I do have railings on my porch. Maybe that’s the issue. I just figured it would still trigger a recording. I posted a pic so you could see what I mean.
