Homebase Professional S1 - Soon to be Irrelevant?

I purchased a Eufy HomeBase Professional S1, which by the way should cost $199 USD (without the coupon) from now on as there is very little to help generate and justify mass appeal. It lacks the Edge AI Core module which is by far the most disappointing aspect. The homebase S1 is 4x the size of the Eufy HomeBase 3 and obviously has its advantages…but the fact that not all Eufy products are compatible feels unacceptable. Set-up in app of all compatible devices from prior homebase to new one needs to be improved and more user friendly. I had to find some work-around.

In additional, the new Services tab in app looks like it will nice and easy, providing additional benefit, information, insight, etc. but ultimately I find of of little use and certainly has yet to be of any benefit yet.

While I felt the HB3 was lacking the necessary specs to keep up with my growing eufy ecosystem, I don’t feel the same applies to HB Professional S1. With that said, I am concerned Eufy will eventually release a "Homebase 4 with AI core and Eufy will eventually stop supporting the Professional 1.

I think Eufy should send out/allow Eufy HomeBase Professional 1 owners a free AI Core (EdgeAICore), or at least allow them to beta test it. AT A MINIMUM, ALL EUFY HOMEBASE PROFESSIONAL S1 OWNERS SHOULD BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO BETA TEST THE NEXT HOMEBASE.

Anyone else have concerns? What are your thoughts and personal experiences so far using the Professional S1?

I think the new one works a lot better. I think it responds better. I think the recorded video remotely is accessible faster. Granted. I wish the module was available because I tried to call and see if I could purchase it but it’s not available yet for some reason. But the new home base is all around more advanced than the previous one. I haven’t ran into any issue setting up my original equipment and I 20 devices. I have door cameras, flood lights Door locks? Indoor cameras? I mean I just have a lot of different ones and I haven’t had any issues setting them up.

Seems very expensive without the discount for me and more almost $250 (after a discount from $500). The prices appear to be all over the place and not fixed.

I have the same concerns and still deciding wether to invest in the Hub S1. I have had alot of issues with recent updates and doorbell etc not working. When I hit a problem there is a lack of help outside the warranty period and you end up with dead equipment.

I’ve had a terrible time setting all my stuff up. Basically none of my already linked devices came over, so I had to go through and manually add everything.
