Homebase Storage Management

I’ve noticed recently that when I formatted my 4TB drive on my HB that it shows “743.88 GB/ 3.81 TB USED” in the HB Storage Management , I wondered why 3.81 USED. I believed it should say 3.81 TB Free or Available. This confused me so I thought the format didn’t work so I formatted again. Same results. I wrote to EUFY with this issue and they don’t see any issue.
I’ve replied trying to explain my thinking but they don’t agree. Tell me your thoughts.

Some cards take up lil space for like syncing reasons

I know some space is used for program files , but my issue is the wording for the space open for usage. Eufy shows I have “3.81 TB Used” on a freshly formatted disk 4 TB drive. I say the verbiage is incorrect as it should say “3.81 TB Fee or Available” Now if the TB stood for “To Be” NOT Terabyte it would be correct, as 3.81 T (to) B (be) Used. It says 3.81 TB Used which is not correct, it’s Free space.

Yeah, the wording of it is confusing. They could just make it easier to understand (read).
So I look at it like this now~ the forward slash (/) represents “OF”. 115Gb of 500Tb used.

They have changed the wording of it in the past.

I see your examples and I believe you see my issue. I actually like some of the verbiage you have shown it makes more sense, but even in the example 102.01 GB/ 1.00 TB used the / meaning “of” would not work in my example. I have a 4TB drive it shows 743.88 GB/ 3.81 TB used which to me is still not correct, in this case the / (of) is not 3.81 but 4 TB the total of the drive not the free amount. thanks for your response, still fighting with Eufy about the verbiage.
