I notice many of the videos in the community involve a lot of wildlife. There’s tons of wildlife in my backyard that trigger my lights. You can see evidence of some of it in the snow recently. I’m confused as to why there is NO video footage of the animals. I have all the options selected but the only “videos” of animals that is captured seems to be “leaves” and other things that are not there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

A couple of things
- If you disable motion and turn it on again it sometimes fixes this problem.
- The Edge of the detection range is not far enough towards the direction the animals come from and/or the animals are travelling too fast. If you move the camera a little to left or right, into the direction the animals come from camera may trigger early enough.
- If you aren’t at max sensitivity put it there.
- If the animals are coming straight on to the camera, the camera may not pick them up early enough. Extra sensitivity and or moving the camera a little off center might help.
I can’t think of anything else. Let us know if any of these help.
Your camera (floodlight camera e340) has out of view dection capability. I can’t see where the motion sensor is, but it is probably not oriented far enough out of view. Also, the camera supports 24/7. On cameras with 24/7 they also take clips. If you are not using 24/7 and only look at the clips you may be missing what could be recorded. If you have 24/7 turned on, you can look at it by selecting playback on the live view screen.
