It would be nice if the AI could differentiate vehicles so I would know when my trash has been picked up for example

Why don’t they tend to do this around the same time?
Don’t your city garbage services drive through your neighborhood around the same time and day each week?
Our garbage truck goes through our neighborhood every Friday morning around 7am, give or take an hour.
Another option you might want to consider would be to get a vibration sensor and install it to the inside of your garbage cans. So when the garbage truck comes around and they pick up your garbage can, you will get notified. Problem solved👍
