Hello, my friend. If your device is experiencing battery life issues, you might want to check out this post to improve your device’s performance. https://inspire.eufy.com/web/topic/3439649

Thanks for your reply
however my camera is set up at the ideal vantage point, my options are to keep bringing it indoors to recharge or try adding a solar panel, it is winter here so the charging might improve in the summer on the devices built in solar panel
as it stands just now it has received zero charge via the device

The S120 has no chance of keeping its own charge in UK, but with the external Eufy solar panel connected, it can manage fine. Definitely best to place the external panel in direct sunlight, though does manage to trickle through some charge with cloudy days/in bright shade.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated :+1:

No worries. Our was for a remote relative so lack of maintenance was essential. Was placed on front of house in a quiet cul de sac, but probably had 40-50 hits per day and some night light. would only really dip in winter (lower sun have shade from houses more) but kept working. In the end though, moved to back garden and got powered wall-light cam as S120 occasionally had massive power drains after software updates and needed manual intervention.

Hi I find even with the extra solar panel mine in the north west uk, it’s so many cloudy days it can’t keep it charged only extents the days before charging,

My E30 SolarCam needs a new Solar panel. Do you have or is it best to purchase a Eufy panel or any panel. I’m not sure or know what panel to get?

Also in the NW

Eufy does say that using other third party solar panels can end up damaging your device, i dont know if there is any truth to this
what concerns me is that the youtube videos i have watched on the eufy panel is that they have a 13 foot cable, eufy have confirmed to me that the length of the cable that comes with the current 3w solar panel is only 6.5 feet which would be to short for my needs

Ideally South facing in the UK. In London my S340 and S4 survive the winter with just solar charging

You can hop on over to Amazon and purchase a charge cable for it, they have varying lengths I’ve seen some 50’ in length. I personally use 25’ for my S120s.

Check your settings to make sure you have everything set for power efficiency. I had the same problem until I found that sweet spot in settings to lower power consumption and longer battery life.
