My cameras picked up a lot of things last night. Unfortunately most events say “failed to connect.” Or are just completely greyed out. Fire department investigators came looking to see if I caught this arsonist on camera (set 2 dumpsters on fire within an hour) wish I could help them, but around those times everything fails to connect?
This looks like an intermittent connection/interference issue, not a random camera failure. eufy notes cameras can go offline or fail to connect because of weak Wi‑Fi, router problems, or nearby interference from other devices, and HomeBase-linked systems can also have range/interference issues .
What to check
Power-cycle the camera and HomeBase/router first. Temporary glitches often clear after a reboot
Make sure the camera is on a strong 2.4 GHz signal and not too far from the router/HomeBase .
Check for firmware updates on the camera and HomeBase .
Useful tips
Keep the router/HomeBase away from other electronics that can cause interference .
If this started after a power outage or storm, re-authenticate the device in the app and verify the base is online .
If it keeps happening at the same time every day, look for a repeating interference source, like another device turning on .
If it still fails
Remove and re-add the camera, or reset it and pair again . If the issue keeps repeating, it’s likely hardware, placement, or environmental interference rather than the app itself
I resolved it power cycling network and HB, didn’t pick him up on the front cameras but surprisingly caught him on the back.
glad you resolved the issue
