My thoughts about boom 3i
Three critical improvements needed:

STEREO CONFIGURATION: The mono speaker design causes listening fatigue during extended indoor use. Brain expects stereo separation. Even a small second driver would dramatically improve the listening experience.

CODEC SUPPORT: Add AAC codec support (minimum). SBC-only limits audio quality compared to competitors at this price point ($89-130). LDAC would be ideal for premium positioning.

TUNING PROFILES: Include app-based “Indoor Mode” with refined EQ preset. Current outdoor-optimized tuning causes headaches during indoor listening (excessive 3-4kHz energy). Simple indoor/outdoor toggle would solve this.

BASSUP REFINEMENT: BassUp mode causes distortion even at 40-50% volume. Needs better DSP limiting or gradual bass boost instead of aggressive processing.
Current recommendation: 6/10. With these changes: 9/10. Great hardware held back by firmware/tuning decisions.
