Neil… The deer is Back once again for his apple corn. I took my wife today to Tractor Supply and we purchased 10-50pound bags of apple corn to feed him because that’s the only corn he’ll eat. She gives him 3/4 of a bucket every evening and he comes between midnite and 1am every night.
I also have 2 Granny Smith Apple trees on my property but the apples aren’t ready yet.
aA few more weeks and he can eat all he wants. They’ll all have it made then. I have 108 acres of woods behind me and yes I do have plenty of coyotes too. Which I would like to shoot but the town I live in I can’t shoot in the village and I live in the village.

Id take a bear…lol. we need a bear to help control the help with the coyotes around here. Getting bad here in Northern Ohio. I have 108 acres in my backyard and before I put solar cameras up, I didn’t realize I had that many coyotes coming thru my backyard into our neighborhood.

Red squirrels…I must have missed that one. When I bought this house I am living in my attic was infested with red squirrels, the little red ones and raccoons. I didn’t no which one was worse. I used here all types of racket up in the attic at night and knew I had a animal but I thought it was mice, a few mice. I never knew it was as bad as what I learned…I called in a professional animal wildlife trapper and he set mice and rat traps thinking it was chipmunks. He came back a few days later and all his traps were gone, missing. So he opened up the attic, actually cut a hole through and looked up there and saw a nest of baby racoons. So he robbed all of them and set a trap and caught momma. He also set traps and caught 9 red squirrels. Then I got the bill…$2750.00 which I knew was gonna be high. But what was worse I needed to tear off my attic cap and replace it, and have all the insulation sucked out. It was infested with raccoon feces and urine soaked. To do all that work was $43,000 grand.
State of ohio considers open season on coyotes…there are so many of them this year, they say you can hunt them day or night with NO PERMITS REQUIRED. Because there a considered a dangerous predatory animal. Ohio doesn’t have any animals to control the coyote population like other states do. Other states have Wolves, Mountain Lions, Cougars, Bears, Bobcats, ETC. Ohio has hunters. They were talking about releasing a hybrid wolf coyote breed but never did. We have people that have wolf dogs around, but those are different. My buddy has a wolf breed German Shepard and I don’t trust it, had those weird looking eyes that glow in the dark like coyotes and wolfs do. Plus he nips at me when I try to pet him and I don’t like that, he’s canine teeth are a good 1.5" long.

Kevin since I took my roof completely off and replaced everything, I decided to even replace the roofing rafters because they smelled like urine. Once there soaked you’ll never get that smell out and I didn’t want to spend all that money and risk smelling urine encase o had a water leak one day, from the roof. Or GOD forbid a tree fell on my house you never know.
That was in 2015. Last year I added an addition to my house and spent another $105 grand. I wanted to move but I could never find another place like I have now. I have it made here.
Only thing I don’t like are the coyote population, I need to find a way to eliminate some of them for good without shooting them

Okay. Ive been up to St Cloud a few times to visit my wife’s cousin and the twin cities and I think I went to Duluth trading once because I had a lighting store I used to buy lights from up there. I stopped in to say hello. But that was 35 years ago.
It gets cold up there, to cold for me in the winter
