New install - is it faulty?

No matter what I set in terms of activity zone/motion detection/sensitive setting, I receive intermittent notifications on people walking pass on the pavement (more than 3 meters) BUT, I receive no notification at when we leave and/or enter the house.
Furthermore, any intermittent notifications are very delayed which is frustrating!
Is this unit faulty and therefore should I return it for a different brand/make of video doorbell instead?
How can I tell if this unit is faulty and replacing it another Eufy unit will make any difference?
Can anyone from Eufy technical help? Is there a contact number for Eufy Technical??
