Porch Priate! The day after installing camera , we catch our Amazon package being scooped up and taken. Police were impressed with footage captured but unfortunately we could not read the license plate. Neighbor has already ordered his eufy camera. We were able to post video on Nextdoor app to worn others and keep an eye out for these bandits! Thank you Eufy!

I just installed my 2 cameras 5 days ago and noticed they make really loud distortions and noises. I’ve made adjustments to the audio, pan and tilt, speed, and recalibrated several times but nothing improved. I’m disappointed after paying $200 for each camera. Does anyone know why these cameras make such loud noises? Is there something with the settings that need to be adjusted or is this the norm for these cameras?

My cameras are Eufy SoloCam S340

If you listen to other peoples posts you will notice that their cameras do not make that noise. The internal mechanism is either catching or has dirt inside it.
I had the same thing with a S340 camera. I raised the issue with Eufy and they swapped it out within a week. You should email Eufy and attach the video or a link to it. Ask them to replace the camera. It is not supposed to make that noise. It makes it unfit for its purpose. Eufy should be fine with swapping it out.

Contact Eufy, they will ask for proof of purchase and are more than happy to exchange cameras. They exchanged a camera for me with no problem. Noise is not normal, I have 2 e340’s that don’t make noise.
Eufy support has also been great to me I had issues with 2 cameras at different times they just asked for my proof of purchase from amazon and amazon delivered the new camera literally the next day. Eufy emailed me a return label and I sent them back with no charge for me
Update: Camera - This is the Indoor Cam C220. It is mounted indoor above front door on a window. Not sure if that makes a difference with the camera movement noice. Maybe apmplified.

Update: Police Detectives notified me that the thieves have been caught! This video helped investigators to identify a string of house robbeies across multiple Texas counties and in Oklahoma. This lead to a grand theft car chase in Texoma and ended up in a gun fire altercation sending the driver to the hospital and the woman incarsarated. Detectives were thankful and impressed with the video provided. Great job eufy!!
