Purple hue on S3 Pro Camera

Is there another camera? It looks like infrared light is coming in. The camera can capture it, but the human eye can’t see it.

Nope only camera. The camera was purchased 2 days ago and when I hooked it up it displayed the purple hue. The other camera in the kit is working fine.

I had this on one of mine, it’s the infra red shutter. I had the camera on while I smacked it on my thigh and on about the third or fourth attempt, getting harder each time the shutter came off and is working properly. Don’t hit it on anything solid.

Thank you for the information. Has it been working fine since then ?

Yes it has , but obviously you can get it exchanged or refunded, but I wanted to get it up. If it does it again I’ll exchange it, and as far as I’m aware if you don’t use infra red night setting it won’t happen again anyway

Thank you

I had the same issue on a different branded camera before I bought the Eufy, had the Arlo and it is the infrared shutter. I also had to smack it back into position. No issues with it at all for the years I had Arlo. I presume the same for Eufy. I suspect it was due to mishandling of the delivery.

Thank you for the information. I hit the camera against my leg and the picture is perfect now.

Do these ones charge fine with solar?

If it does it in another area/lighting then I’d say it’s defective

That’s strange

I just got mine a few days ago so I couldn’t really tell you right now but from what I read yes. I will keep it charged I believe up to 90% battery to prolong battery life.

Thank you

I’m glad it helped. I bet when you first read it you thought it was a joke !

I’m in England and mine were slowly losing charge, but it has been overcast for weeks, so I plugged the ring solar panels in , as they were on the wall anyway, and when the sun finally appeared they went up to 100%. It doesn’t take a lot, and they might not need extra solar even here. It also depends on your recording settings.

Def not working right

I knew there was a filter for the infrared but didn’t know it was an actual shutter that got stuck. Once you mentioned that I was like that makes sense

Is it correctly aligned and updated?
