Hi, apologies if this has been asked before, I did a quick search but didn’t find an exact match. I have a solocam S340 which is remotely located such that It cannot access the homebase. I have it on the wifi network via an extender, so I can access the camera and it’s small amount of recorded clips and images. However, should someone steal the camera (believe me, it’s already happened once) then all footage is lost. Is there a way to get it to record to the homebase via the network that the wifi extender is attached to? Any help greatfully accepted.

Since the S340 is already connected via Wi-Fi through the extender and can’t record to the HomeBase directly (as you mentioned), unfortunately there’s no supported method to make it use the HomeBase’s storage across the network — even if both are on the same extended Wi-Fi.
Eufy doesn’t currently allow routing that footage back to the HomeBase over standard Wi-Fi. It really only works when the camera is within direct pairing range using their specific low-power RF connection.
A few workarounds people have tried:
- Cloud backup (I know, not ideal — but worth it if theft is a risk again).
- Using another EufyCam 3 (or similar HomeBase-connected cam) nearby to at least monitor the SoloCam and store that feed safely.
- Setting up a separate security cam (even non-Eufy) just focused on the area where the SoloCam is mounted — something that records offsite or to a local NAS.
Would be great if Eufy opened up network-based routing to the HomeBase in a future update, but for now it’s unfortunately a hardware limitation. Really frustrating for remote installs.
Hope some of that helps
