Some fresh powd

Some fresh powder came down for New Year’s. I got creative and used my leaf blower to quickly clean off the cars and driveway. The Floodlight E340 is doing its job, despite the harsh weather conditions.

Work smarter not harder :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Great idea, may try that myself.

great work by the ghost busters team lol

Great idea. Not sure it would work in PNW we’ve been getting a wet snow with warmer temps, would work if we had a dry snow with lower temps.

I saw one of my neighbors do this several years back and wanted to give it a try. I had to wait for powdery, non-clumping snow. I found it amazingly effective, especially if you work with the help of any light wind/breeze. One lesson I leanred was to blow towards the street so that it’s not drifting onto your neighbor’s property. It actually worked better than shoveling in the sense that the shovel usually leaves a thin, smooth layer of snow on the ground that tends to ice over later.

TBH this type of snow doesn’t often fall in my area. I live at relatively low elevation, with high humidity. The lows are usually in the 20’s. I’m accustomed to snow that feels like shoveling wet sand/bricks or sheets of ice falling from the sky. I feel like this method would be perfect in Utah snow.
