This DoorDash driver apparently got into an argument with one of our neighbors when he tried to enter our community through a resident only gate. He eventually went to the main gate, where he also argued with the security guard.
After finally getting to our house, he began berating my wife. The guy was completely unhinged and clearly should not be doing this type of work.
We reported the incident to both DoorDash and the police.

Yes, this is a gated community. The issue is that I always include instructions to use the main entrance because the entrance he attempted to use is for residents only.
Our community policy requires all visitors to enter through the main entrance, where the guard on duty documents their license plate before allowing them to enter. Since this is an over 55 community, these procedures are in place for the safety and security of the residents.
I also texted the driver the same information because I have found that some drivers do not always read the instructions provided in the app. There really should not have been any confusion about where he needed to go.
What is confusing to me is that he turned such a minor issue into a much bigger situation. This is the first time I have encountered someone who became so upset and uncooperative over something that should have been very straightforward.
