Fair enough, but the smoothness of his gate maneuver was enough to appreciate this guy.
To be honest, I think he was doing you a favor by placing your package at your door instead of by the gate where it’s so noticeable and might get stolen.
You should tip this guy next time he shows up.

Agreed. If the package was left by the gate the post would’ve been “left the package by the gate. what is wrong with people?”

The Amazon instructions are to leave the package at the gate if locked. And he didn’t even ring the doorbell if we are looking that deep into it lol
Some of the drivers just dump it behind a bin and don’t bother ringing the doorbell. This guy still did his job and kept the gate shut. Dropped his mobile on the final hurdle.
Was the gate locked or unlocked? Either way I respect the technique. Efficient and effective package delivery with no property damage…except his phone. One of my drivers would eventually break the gate or drop my package trying to open it.
If you turn the volume up you can hear him mumble “Bet your UPS driver can’t do this”
Yiu should put a sign on where to put the package!
