When using NAS, how is storage is allocated on the NAS. 1 file per day? Per hour?

I would like to explore the use of NAS for private storage of my Eufy security video, but would like to know how that storage gets allocated. Are clips stored as

  • 1 a day?
  • 1 per hour?
  • user selectable?
