Just curious, I just purchased & installed the E340 floodlight camera and have you had trouble with the alarm siren going off constantly with motion, if so, how did you resolve it? The mobile app has no alarm settings to shut it off permanently.

On home page of app bottom of screen tap on smart tab then you will either see your camera or home base (if camera is linked to a home base) tap on it then you will see the home and away option tap on gear icon then you will see all your devices with option to turn off light and siren

Make sure you hit save top right after you make your selection

Looking for a “pick a nick basket,” I bet.

Good lad

Nice

I live in Missouri where there is a large population of black :bear: bears. Look, I have a healthy respect for God’s creatures/wildlife, etc. That said, I enjoy the idea of living relatively pain-free …and in the same vein, when the time comes, to leave this Earth as painlessly as possible. So if I can control at least SOME factors that potentially would affect (or jeopardize :grimacing:) that “luxury”, then I will gladly comply. I only mean to say that I’d be happy living the rest of my days without ever again encountering a bear, EVEN in a “supposed enclosure” at our first-class St. Louis Zoo. Even so, I am a realist and I know that I am more likely to find a lost bear in my backyard than I would come across a neighbor’s escaped, darling dog or kitty.

The basis for this prediction?

  1. Bears are, on a not-so-uncommon basis, witnessed roaming within blocks or just a mile or 2 of my house (in an urban, developed part of town) and
  2. I have in the past 2-3 yrs, somehow attracted to my house, (in a subdivision of 500 brick homes, with mine being 2 blocks from a major interstate), a fair sampling of “guests” who seem to believe I’m hosting some sort of “Wildlife Weekenders Wing-Ding”. I’ve had a bobcat who stared me down from behind the gate of my backyard, as if to say, “Who the H are you and why are you standing in MY carport?!” His bearded, creepy glare still haunts me and I am sure I got some form of PTSD from that incident bc I get flashbacks when I go to that area of the carport on “trash take-out” night. Then there was the crazy HUGE monster of a mole or vole in my front yard that was tearing up all the lawn and running (do they “run”?!) from me. Now I’ll admit, the raccoon and the possum were halfway cute (from a distance!) and made for some funny adventures.

The most traumatic though? It was the one that only left me a souvenir of its “party in the back”. Strewn about a large portion of my backyard were white feathers - almost everywhere. Most of them were in the shape of a large circle. After getting up close, I saw that they must have been the feathers of a dove or a partridge. But how did they get there? And why were they placed in this circle? Was this some kind of ritual or sacrifice? Well, the latter seemed to be the closest explanation. My next door neighbor then told me that when she’d gotten home earlier that day, she saw a HUGE HAWK in my backyard. (Hawks are also prevalent here in MO, flying around in circles above, constantly seeking their next prey). She said it was just sitting there on my lawn DEVOURING a white bird, ripping it to shreds, like the cannibals I suppose they are. She’d taken a photo and shared it with me. It is/was stunning, in the most gory, but fascinatingly, nauseating way. The oddest part was that there was zero trace of the bird left behind, besides the actual feathers (of which there were a TON). But there was : not one bone, no tissue, no body part (i.e. a leg…sorry to be graphic) and not a drop of blood.

Last but not least, on a drive-through animal park nearby, a couple years ago, my daughter and I got barricaded in the road by 2 adult bison and their 2 children bison. They would not budge. Other bison were also surrounding our car…and kept approaching, as well as staring us down. I felt sure they were going to attack and crush my little Civic, with us in it. They had pure HATE in their eyes. Their quiet protest, in the road and in the woods all around my vehicle, endured for almost a full hour. The park rangers could not come to our rescue because apparently someone was lost or missing in the park and they were “all hands on deck” on that project. I prayed…even got my teen to pray with me…and eventually one or 2 buffalo budged just enough off to the left so that I could gun it and drive through the herd. It was the scariest experience of my life and I know it was only by the Grace of God that those animals finally moved those few inches.

So, :bear: bears? Yeah, no thanks. Hard pass. And if one day I’m not given that choice, I know I got 2 things going for me: wildlife work experience and the King of this Kingdom: God! :victory_hand:

So cute! But glad I’m not meeting the bear in person :joy:
