How to disable notification for familiar faces

Yeah this is a bit of a joke… honestly its a no brainer that there should be some functional way to avoid getting notifications for particular individual’s being detected e.g. family members that we dont want.
I asked Eufy support about this previously and was told that notifications would reduce as the AI learned… however after some weeks this seems totally not the case and bogus advice.
Ive also changed setting to on Homebase 3 so it shouldnt notify but it hasnt worked.
Can anyone from Eufy comment on whether this is being worked on or not?
This seriously impacts how id rate the Homebase 3 set.

Just bought s340 x2 and door bell e340 with base 3 Notifications driving me mad!! Its identified the faces as family or friends with name attached but im still getting all these alerts onnmy phone. I bought the homebase for this very reason and eufy tech have no ides. Ive reset and factory restet the base unit, which by the way makes yountake down all the cameras from the wall to scan the QR codes oh boy and still no answer!!

Same here. My Homebase 3 (firmware 3.5.1.8) with a connected eufycam 3C (firmware 3.2.2.6) is always sending notification even for known faces…
@Community-Team / @eufy-official please fix it, as one of your selling points is that the system only notifies you of unknown persons. It doesn’t make much sense for me to be recorded and notified when I’m sitting on my terrace, even though HomeBase 3 identifies me correctly as a known face.

The problem is still present.
Basically, I have to disable the cameras when I am at home, and that is not ideal. I have a smartwatch, and it massages my arms 24/7 when there is a notification.
I also have two buildings, and moving across them all the time, so there is non-stop notification, that should not be triggered.

I would be glad to have some delay, a few seconds only, to recognize someone before sending out the notification. Also, the recording can be stored in the meantime, so if there really is an intruder, it can be still reviewed later from the stored clips.

Also, it would be nice to set this delay feature by camera, not just by home base, since the front facing camera is rarely triggered so it can remain sensitive.

Same here with homebase 3 and e340 / s350

It would be a great addition, seems like something everybody would use.

Bought my two Eufys S330 a month ago and am having the same problem you’ve all been describing. It records me, eventhough it recognizes me. Annoying…guess I just have to wait and hope for a firmware update…
Hi everyone.

Hier het zelfde probleem met een Homebase 3, 2 S330 camera’s en een E340 deurbel.
Ik word gek van al die onnodige meldingen.

Open Homebase settings in the app and navigate to Notification. Select Ignore Notifications and than select the faces you want to exclude from notifications

same issue over here.
for eufycam3 and doorbell e340

According to Eufy app, the distance of human detection is greater than the distance for human recognition. It seems to be not so smart AI, after all. Not yet, at least.

I believe Homebase has built in face detection

I have an E340 bell, homebase3 and a Uefycam3. All recognize familiar faces and give a notification on my phone (with correct names, so that feature is working). But I dont want notifications for familiar faces. I am not interrested in what my family is doing outside the house. Unfortunately I cannot find a setting to ignore familiar faces in the app. Seeing all posts in this thread, this is not resolved?

It will be nice to only detect and notify of strangers after putting faces of yourself and family members. This is common sense and that is why I upgraded. What point in notifying me of myself and family members

I agree. And it’s like they completely ignore us. As most of these Chinese companies do.

There’s very little point to recognizing people if you don’t have settings to tell it what to do when it recognizes a familiar face.

I’m also looking for this when it comes to pets and our cars.

But for the cars I want to be notified if there’s an unfamiliar face or an unrecognizable person near the car.

And what’s worse is they use AI to answer your feedback inquiries. And it sounds like they do nothing about it.

And they’re probably using all the camera footage they receive by foolish donators to train AI and eventually control the population even more.

I bought a homebase 2 with 2k double doorbell. This function wasn’t even available so went back to store, replaced the whole setup tot homebase 3 and the newer version of the 2k doorbel without the copper ring.
The setting is now available to exclude people but unfortunately I still get notifications. I feel scammed by Eufy for driving me to buy the most expensive elements for a video doorbell and not have this feature.
I’m really frustrated by this brand and will return everything. Does anyone know a brand that sells doorbells who can exclude known faces and actual works?
