I would have loved to have known previously to buying my system the Eufy are not going to release an outdoor siren. Sadly I took the plunge before enquiring. Now I’m left with a system that has no external deterrents unlike all my neighbours who have these visual deterrents in the forms of outdoor sirens.

The only way that eufy will take notice is if we trash and leave bad reviews of their system on social media and YouTube. Maybe then they will acknowledge what their customers require

Fully agree, would love to add an outdoor siren with a flashing light, so visible and audible alarm, which can alert your neighbours in case of a break-in… thanks can we have it very soon?

I want to keep my homebase safely in a secure closet! But then the siren isn’t noticeable! Plus you don’t want to lead burglars right to the heart of the system. If they unplug it, the system is disabled.
You have the name of that system?? I need this NOW and I can’t wait more to eufy to create this external wireless sirens! Thanks!
Same, siren works on my cameras which are installed outside and the home base as well.

Well I guess it is time to ditch my Eufy system and switch to the competition.
Too bad that Eufy us not able to develop such a simple siren that would position its entire system to a leader position in the autonomous alarm system market. This is basic marketing, even more when people have to adopt a complete ecosystem, upsell opportunities are limitless if you are developing the right products.

I’m really shocked by this poor service given the above thread and my own experience. Everything has been super easy to buy and install, but what’s the point if it’s just a notification message to show you’re being burgled? What’s to stop someone taking the homebase and you’ve lost all records, or at least switching off the wifi for the event? My neighbours have a yale system, a bit more expensive but with a loud external alarm… please eufy, before we quit. … #This-is-where-you-can-request-features-and-products-on-eufy-Security-any-ideas-are-welcomed
I was considering Eufy for a new home-alarm, but the complete lack of external siren is a deal breaker. I want to hide my base-station someplace where it wont be stolen, not draw attention to it with a siren. I’m sure I could crack the base station open and make some simple filter circuit to get a siren-connector… Or you know… buy a system that has this trivial feature built in?
So considering a new alarmsystem and eufy is/was on my shortlist. But what is with this missing the extra loud siren?
Strange after 2,5 years eufy haven’t picked it up.
For me the main reason is for an alarm system to have a loud alarm so any trespassers don’t have time to look through all our stuff and people in the neighborhood get alarmed. How come Eufy you don’t seem to get this?
I need to look elsewhere I’m afraid.
Just adding another note to say I would have invested heavily into Eufy if they had bothered to make a siren. As things stand, I’ll go with a competitor.
It seems like a complete joke that they wouldn’t add this given how simple it must be in comparison to some of their existing products.
The idea of proper home security is a non starter without an external siren, for reasons already stated several times in this thread.
If anyone from Eufy actually reads this - you are losing customers for no good reason. Might be worth reconsidering your approach.

I’m thinking about to make a Tasker script to play very loud sound via Google home on all the home speakers.
I haven’t found a good audio yet on YouTube music. Unfortunately you can’t select own files to play via Google Home.
This still isn’t the best solution, but would be better than the volume is coming from the homebase.

Apart from the siren all is well. I don’t know that a siren makes a huge difference where I am as the only people home are little old ladies that aren’t going to chase the bad guys away. Getting notified on my phone / watch is probably enough but … still, I want a siren.
On iOS the notification is ridiculous, you can’t set a different sound or a longer one, Eufy fails even here.
Oh - reading this thread is disappointing… just got CCTV cameras from Eufy, and then having seen the keypad/door sensors etc., was thinking this might be an replacement for my current ageing burglar alarm system.
However seeing that there is no external siren has shot that down really…
