Very slow alerts. (Long delay between detection and alert)

Well, it looks like I’m not alone. Delay is getting longer and longer. Checked the battery thing in my phone and it is fine. It is time to look at other doorbell camera options.

I bought video doorbell, 2c Pro camera put above garage. Both worked really well for about a year, and slowly over time the notifications took longer and longer. I am on here today googling what to do, but do not see anything helpful only complaints. I get notifications after a person has walked up my path, waited for me to answer, and then walked to their car and driven off. The doorbell video shows is them walking away. My doorbell is wired, my phone is Samsung S20, apps update automatically, and I do not have internet speed issues (I am in IT so had network team check). I even bought second homebase to be close to each device.
It is only Eufy notifications that are delayed. I see only complaints but no resolutions so far. Now I am disappointed as I have to switch out everything. I need door sensors too, and assume notifications will be too late, and that is unacceptable for security. Who switched, and to what system?

I’m honestly shocked to see this topic STILL up and running.

Yeah, Eufy has done literally nothing to fix this issue beyond recommending that you buy an upgraded new base station, which also appears to have the same problems.

This basically started when Eufy wen to a cloud-based system for storing videos, which was something I didn’t want and why I chose Eufy originally. Because they did NOT have this OR a subscription.

Frankly I’m close to either rolling my own solution or just biting the bullet and going with a doorbird system, which is like a grand to install. There are almost no systems out there that don’t require either cloud storage or a subscription or both.

It’s no better on an iPhone 14 Pro either. Terribly slow doorbell notifications.

Eufy don’t monitor these pages. They are hoping that within the “community” there will be someone who can help. Lots of IT companies do this.I had a Unifi system at a previous address. The on-line community was brilliant at sorting out problems.

I have HomeBase 3 and the problem is still there. My system has only been installed for a month and is on all the latest updates.

Same problem with Basestation 2and four cameras.

I cleared all videos on the the home base - No joy

Re-started the home base - No joy

Re-started phone - No joy

Re-started (not reset) the router - Back to 7 second delay from detection to notification. My router had an uptime of 42 days which could have been the problem.

Coincidence? - 42 is the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything

Anyway, the system is back to normal - Hope this works for you guys

Been unable to get notifications for quite a while.

The delays are still there.

I ended up downloading the android beta app and it seems to have fixed it. Worth a shot if you haven’t tried yet

I also have the delayed notification problem. Can you give me a hint where to download the beta version and what it looks like please

Same problem here in the Netherlands. Door bell is ringing, but always when I want to check who is at the door, the person is already gone. Also connected with Homebase. Realy a shame that this topic is still open for two years

I have same problem. It used to be quick, but has noticeably slowed in the last year or so. I have super fast internet (850MB), fast new wifi routers, iPhone 16, so my gear is not the issue.

Has anyone found a way to fix this issue yet?
