my newly purchased 1080p video doorbell keeps going offline despite being in direct line of sight to the Chime and virgin media router. The chime has a good solid connection to the router. I have disabled the 5gHz wifi band on the router and still no better. when the doorbell is briefly connected the speed is so slow it cant replay any videos or show live video. The battery is also going from 100% charge to 40% in a few days. Can anyone help advise please

If you can? Try moving the chime closer to the doorbell cam without losing a good connection between the chime and your router.
The doorbell and the chime communicate wirelessly between each other on their “own” Wi-Fi band. Like the doorbell is not using your Virgin Media router for its Wi-Fi signal only the chime is.
My doorbell and chime are 20 ft away from each other with no direct line of sight. Chime and router are 35 ft away from each other with no direct line of sight.
Hope this helps, and it may also solve the battery draining problem if this is the issue. If the doorbell cam is constantly searching for a Wi-Fi signal from the chime then the battery will drain.
I have the same problem, its ridiculous!
My homebase is connected with ethernet and 5m from doorbell. It kept going offline…
Now i put my homebase right behind the front door 1m away from the bell and 3m away from wireless router. Connection is even then only 50-75% strength… It beats the purpose of having a smart doorbell, im going to return this crap!
