I have connected ring gen 1 power adapter(as read in the posts that it works) to 2k battery door bell but the bell does not charge. In the app it shows the green plug icon only and never the charging battery icon. I’ve even changed the bell to 100% and it still drains it even if i set it to doorbell mode only.
Do you see the powercord - I have a similar issue, but I only see the battery symbol (Android).
I noticed that there are a fair number of recent claims of this issue recently… firmware issues?
But some of us do not get the green plug symbol anymore 
By the way - if you always see the powercord - that is a good thing. I am worried because I only was seeing the battery symbol.
I initially charged to max and attached to ring wires and turned on the ring plug but it just drained the battery until i got the low battery notification. Throughout this i kept seeing the plug symbol on the app all the time thinking everything was ok. Charge it back to max and again would drain it down to 20%
I then charged battery to max and then let battery drain until it went offline then charged it to max, removed device and re added it in the app and reconnected to ring wires and It seems to be working at the moment. (Not sure if that did it) I continually see the green plug and when i turn the power off after a few mins i see the battery sign with with 86%. Been checking intermittently every few days for the last week and seems to be holding at around that %
That is the bizarre thing… I do not see the plug symbol AND I do not see the % change (up or down).
Best speak to anker support or if you bought from amazon or costco I’d request replacement if under warranty
