Anyone use geofencing? And do you have issues? Mine doesn’t switch modes when I leave or arrive most the time and end up doing it manually.

It doesn’t work with newer android phones. Eufy won’t or can’t fix it.

Well that would explain it then…hopefullt at some point they will sort it cause having to manually change is a pain.
Unfortunately you need to keep the app running. Major flaw with geo fencing. Every app that uses it needs to keep running you end up with so many it’s just not practical to use it.
I have had the same issues with geofencing on my Eufy cameras. I end up manually turning location services on and off on my Android phone to “remind” the app to wake up and switch mode. It works but kinda defeats the purpose of an automatic feature.
I don’t use wifi connection except to setup a new Eufy device. I use cellular data connection the rest of the time. This means multiple times a day the idiot app puts up dialog box asking me to use wifi to make geolocating work better. It isn’t true. Enabling Wi-Fi makes geolocating work worse for me.
I have worked with Eufy support on this >20 emails and 2 phone calls. Escalation, etc. They don’t seem to grasp the issue, so I’ve given up on it.
Overall, I am delighted with the Eufy products because for the money spent and no monthly fee, the value provided is very good IMO. I am a satisfied customer with this one annoying by manageable issue.
Maybe one day they will fix the geofencing switching issue when using cellular connection only.

Geofencing hilariously has only worked on my Android without manually turn location services on and off or manually re entering the geofencing parameters for about three weeks. About 5 updates ago.
Arlo has had smoothly operating geofencing and scheduling for 2 or 3 years now. I only switched because a subscription is required with them.
Maybe Eufy can get one of their engineers. They seem to know what they are doing.
Same here. iOS developer builds seem to hate integrating sometimes
