Hi everyone
My battery doorbell since last charge it turns live view and recordings videos to pink/magenta color, the image quality looks degraded, it doesn’t seem to be in HD quality anymore. I tried many tricks and tips and nothing works.
I contacted eufy’s support regarding this issue and they are not able to help because they claim that if their products are bought on eBay or somewhere else that it is not an authorized seller they cannot support those devices, something that does not make sense because no matter where you buy it, are manufactured by them. Anyway… Can anyone of you can help me, have any idea or solution to fix it?
I just had the same problem with my 2k indoor camera. It was the “infrared cut” filter according to Eufy support…a defect in the camera. The filter clicks on when in dark conditions then off when in light. Eufy support is replacing my camera…but I did buy it directly from Eufy. Good luck
Where are you from? The manufacturer has a legal obligation to provide a properly functioning device. Ebay did not manufacter the doorbell, Anker did, so they are responsible.
it looks like they spell it out very clearly. "Warranty Claims for Quality-Related Issues
All quality-related defects on items sold directly by eufy or eufy’s authorized resellers are covered by an extensive warranty, starting from the date of purchase.
eufy’s limited warranty is restricted to the country of purchase. The limited warranty is void on items taken outside the country they were originally bought in or shipped to directly from an authorized online purchase."
No. They just asked me for the Doorbell serial number and proof of purchase, I provided it and this is their answer.
Thanks for contacting Anker Customers Service!

I live in New York. that’s what I thought. It was in this year that they released and went on sale that doorbell model, it does not have 12 months yet.
You must have a law in the US that keeps the manufacturer responsible if the device is faulty. Offering no warranty at all because it’s not from their webshop feels wrong.
That’s unfortunate, but many corps ask much the same too but sometimes offer a remedy as a matter of good customer service.
I think your issue will need to be taken up with the seller as it’s clearly meant to have at least 12 month warranty. In UK you’d be able to take it to small claims court against the seller for item not being fit for purpose. Of course you could try eBay first but I don’t know their policy.
I bought my battery doorbell one week ago, and it started showing the magenta color cast yesterday. It sounds like another case of the IR filter not cycling off. A reset of the device fixes the problem for the rest of the day, but the problem comes back the next morning. I’ve contacted Eufy support.
Otherwise, I’ve been pleased with the product and the app. I especially like the feature of being able to connect the home base to wi-fi (after set up) so it can be moved closer to the device.
UPDATE : I purchased my doorbell from Best Buy. Because my purchase was so new and still within the Best Buy return period, Best Buy exchanged my doorbell. Installing it a second time was much quicker.
