There are 2 things I don’t like about these automatic firmware updates:
- my camera is stuck in an “updating” camera state. What am I supposed to do now?
- they are forced on me / applied automatically (whether I want/need it or not). Why?

Just restart your home.
As for the rest, you agree to T&C of using the product.
I’m quite happy they push out fixes so quickly, some company’s leave their products dead in the water for months
I’ve just had the same issue with one camera not updating firmware. Says it’s not connected. Refresh button is there but it still doesn’t connect. Also lost Homekit connectivity, so no longer showing up in home app I assume I’ll have to reset my homebase and start from scratch unless anyone else has a fix?

The good news is the 2.0.9.8h is now official release, please check APP device Info>Check for Homebase firmware for the firmware update.

I had same issue on one of my 4 cams removed cam and reinstalled all good now
