I am hoping to be able to view Eufy cameras on my Roku TV. There are IP camera viewing apps available, but I can’t find anything related to the proper settings other than the IP address.
Do the cameras use a specific port number?
Is there a streaming URL or snapshot URL available?
Certain Eufy cameras that connect directly to Wi-Fi (no homebase) support RTSP. For those, you can enable RTSP in the Eufy Security app under the camera settings > NAS (RTSP). Once enabled, the app will give you a streaming URL that includes the IP, port, and credentials.
There’s no general snapshot or MJPEG stream URL available.
Eufy focuses on their own apps for viewing the camera feeds.
I have all different types of Eufy cameras but I’ve never used the RTSP option. Which cameras support the RTSP? What type of format is the RTSP viewing look like with the URL it provides?
Not sure of a complete list of cameras that support rtsp.
But when enabled, you get a URL like rtsp://admin:123456@192.168.1.101:554/live0
which can be used in media players like VLC, or for NAS recording with tools like Synology Surveillance Station.
It’s just a live feed from the camera that can be viewed outside of the Eufy app and not encrypted.
