Angle and lighting.
Activation area is one way to set it up. Also could be camera is mounted on metal door and its wireless to so that also be an issue
if it isn’t hardwired, that’s why. if it’s on battery power, it can only behin recording once triggered. when it’s hardwired, you can turn on the setting under “general” that’s called “early video recording” or something like that so it captures and saves all motion—not just that which occurs after the motion sensor is triggered.

Battery but I also have a set on just human motion so maybe if I set it for all motion it’ll it’ll help it
Yeah I got you that makes sense I don’t have a way to hardwire it because there was no doorbell but I can also sit change the setting that says all motion maybe that’ll pick up the little bit sooner instead of just human motion but thanks for your input

definitely worth a try
if u have a device that’s capable of being hardwired or running on battery, there may be a workaround to run power to it from an outlet or something
