Could be worse: could be mockingbirds pigging out…because they would then terrorize any other living thing that came near “their” buffet. They are the worst!
We have mockingbirds around too. Luckily this year they have been absent. Last year we had 2-3 couples with nests in our backyard and there was fighting constantly
