Debate Winners Announced! ๐ŸŽ

I have 5 pan and tilt models. 4 styles, all are awesome. :grinning: :grinning:

Keeping it simple  is always a good thing :ok_hand:

Hi, I voted for the pan & Tilt Camera. I did this because it has been my experience that they provide better feedback and can track the subject. This is specially important when they have the light on them so the light constantly shines on them. A bullet camera does not follow the person. I believe that the tilt cameras provide more details. such as different angles of the person or vehicle or pet in question. Possibly seeing a detail that could be crucial to arresting a bad person. Even beyond that, it follows kids around so that parents can see exactly where they are at and what they are doing. possibly providing emergency services if it the parent is looking at the camera as it follows the child. Overall I am a firm believer in the detail and feedback a pan and tilt camera can provide !

Iโ€™d prefer a bullet camera because it provides a fixed, reliable view of a specific area without needing manual adjustment. Itโ€™s more durable over time since it has no moving parts, and itโ€™s often better suited for outdoor use due to its weather-resistant design. Simpler setup and lower maintenance are also big advantages.

PTZ for more coverage.

I would say bullet as itโ€™s more compact and easier for dismantling etc, I find the bullet cams very easy accessible from my house window if in the winter I need to charge if solar power fails due to lack of light

PTZ is the way to go for me. Having peace of mind to be able to rotate your cam to see something at an inconvenient time is well worth it! I hate fixed units I makes me feel limited.

We really like PTZ feature. We use one in our fifth wheel that we leave in Florida and like the option of security while we are gone. It will move wherever the noise or shadow leads it. We have someone who checks our trailer and we always know when they are there. :grinning:

I choose a pan and tilt (PTZ) camera over a bullet camera when you need dynamic surveillance of a larger area. Bullet cameras provide a fixed view, while PTZ cameras offer the flexibility to pan horizontally, tilt vertically, and zoom in to focus on areas of interest or follow moving subjects. This means a single PTZ camera can potentially cover the area that would otherwise require multiple fixed bullet cameras. PTZ cameras are particularly well-suited for situations requiring flexible monitoring and target trackingy. This makes them a great option for locations like warehouses, large construction sites, or retail spaces where monitoring is needed over a wider, and potentially changing, area.eufy either way offers the best cameras you can go wrong with either option

Canโ€™t go wrong

I chose a Pan & Tilt camera because it offers greater flexibility in monitoring large areas. With its ability to rotate horizontally and vertically, I can cover more ground with a single device, reducing blind spots. This type of camera is especially useful for tracking movement and adjusting the view remotely through an app, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor security.

Iโ€™d have to choose the pan and tilt. I have several stationary Eufy cameras, I do love the cross tracking feature but itโ€™s not the same as having a camera able to track a person throughout my current blind spots.

Iโ€™d go with a tilt-and-pan cam. A bullet cam just stays in one spot, so if something happens out of frame, youโ€™re out of luck. With tilt-and-pan, you can move it around, cover more angles, and keep an eye on everything without having to install multiple cameras.

This Canada is my favourite Crystal clear and well made

It really depends on the goal of the camera. Fixed (bullet) cameras are great for overview and a consistent FOV/ image. PTZ are great for validation of an alarm or to zoom in on certain situations. Important with PTZ is to always ensure it returns to a preset position otherwise the FOV is always wrong (something always happens just outside the FOV when the camera as been rotated). PTZ installation is usually a little bit more complex but ensures more flexibility when in use. Best solution is a combination of fixed + PTZ. But if I have to choose one it would be the PTZ with a good preset with interval time to redirect to this preset!

Iโ€™d choose the Pan & Tilt Camera because it can adapt to movement and cover multiple angles, ensuring nothing is missed. I have one installed on the gutter above the porch, which can see the drive and walkway. Once a person is locked on, it follows them from a variety of angles. Another is positioned on the corner of the house, with a choice of viewpoints to cover different approaches.

A Bullet Camera would be sufficient to cover the back of the property, as anyone coming from that direction could be captured, but if they moved to another part of the property, the Pan & Tilt would track them seamlessly. For example, my window cleaner team are tracked while they work around the house, cleaning every window. The flexibility of the Pan & Tilt makes it far more versatile than a fixed Bullet Camera.
