I delete my events daily. However some days still show events. What’s the issue here?
ios or Android? version.
you need to submit feedback to Eufy through app.
Eufy setver has been very slow these days to get refresh.
IOS version
I’m using Android and I have a similar issue but, not sure if it’s the same as what you are talking about.
I’ll delete all my events for that day and the blue dot won’t go away on the calendar.
If I close the app and then reopen it the Blue Dot disappears off the calendar.
I have 1 that won’t disappear from calendar December 29th.
Just found this out the calendar has a quirk to it.
It appears the calendar doesn’t separate your cameras. I’ll try to explain it without confusion the best I can.
So you choose a camera that you want to view your events then you tap on the calendar and see the small blue dot 2 days back you tap on it and you have no videos to view… what’s up with that??
You switch to another camera open the calendar you see the small blue dot on the same 2 days back and you tap on it and there’s no Vids to view?
Switch to another camera and open the calendar same Blue Dot on the same day you tap on that day and voila there’s your video that you can play…
So the calendar doesn’t differentiate/separate your events happened per camera.
Tried what you suggested. Did not work. Still have dots on the December 29 and January 7. Tried restarting homebase 3. Still have the blue dots on those 2 days of calendar.
You could try this… to clear them dots and as how you can’t find a way to view them videos anyway. This will delete all videos.
I don’t have a home base 3.
In the home base settings there should be an option to clear local storage.
Just wanted to reply to let you know you’re not the only one seeing this erroneous behavior. I also clean up videos on daily basis (or close to it).
I frequently see the “blue dot there but no videos” issue too.
Sadly, I don’t know of any workarounds.
I’m having the same issue. Can anyone assist?
Is this occurring while using the Home Base 3?
Yes. Didn’t seem to happen with the original homebase
Are you using a hard drive in the expansion port?
I’m just thinking here, that maybe those video clips are on the 16 GB of built-in storage prior to when the hard drive was installed and the HB3 can’t access them videos because it’s looking on the hard drive.
I don’t know, it’s just a theory.
Is this occurring while using the Home Base 3?
Not for me. Home Base 2 here.
I have the opposit; since the 18th of december 22 I see a dot at every day, even if there is no activity. After the 29th of January all dots are gone, even if there is an activity. So, at the moment no dots at all… Don’t know how to fix this.
I have a Homebase 2, a doorbell and two eufyCams.
Same issues here. I have tried checking any events for each camera. They all show the same dots on the same days, but none of the cameras have events for those days. After erasing/clearing the storage, the only events that remained are those door sensor events (opening/closing). Even after manually deleting those events, the dots remain. I have the Homebase 3. I even removed the hard drive that I installed to see if the dots were related to events stored on the built-in storage. The blue dots remain. I have reformatted the drives. The blue dots remain. I reached out to Eufy support and they have to research it and get back to me as if this is the first time anyone has contacted them about this.
It’s sounding as if the App is the culprit…
As it thinks there are still events there.
Try clearing the Apps cache 1st.
You may also want to try logging out of the app.
I have seen the issue of having dots but no events. I believe that the app logic has some type of garbage collection routine that needs to run after videos are deleted. Its probably triggered by either time or the volume of events and waiting for deletion. Until the garbage collector runs, the dots are still present on the calendar even though you can’t see the associated events.
I tried looking at the calendar and deleting all events manually for a month and found that the calendar dots persisted for a while after the events were gone. Later, when I went back and looked at the calendar, all the dots had been cleared.
Same here. Blue dot issue started on June 10 and has persisted. No amount of deleting, formatting or restarted has paid off. I have reached out 3x to tech tech support with app logs and screen shots. Only receive the AI response. Every trick in the book has been used to no avail to clear the events. The events that plague here deal with door sensors, smart lock touch, smart drop and system alarms. Videos are not the issue. Clear cache in app, even uninstall the app. The issue persists. Any new events are just as difficult to clear, if at all. At one time the system enable/disabled events from the keypad displayed. These no longer display. No answers here what to do.
Tried literally every hardware trick known to work prior to June. Nothing worked to clear the dreaded blue dots and old events. Finally unistalled the latest eufy app version ( there were two updates in June). Installed the last version released in May '23 to avoid the June releases and halted auto update. Magically, I am now able to clear all blue dots from the June events calendar and problem solved. Evidently the issue was with both eufy app versions released in June.
