Disable chime on the doorbell itself (E340)

How can I disable the sound on the doorbell itself?
I have an indoor chime so I don’t need the sound coming from the doorbell itself and notify all neighbourhood that someone just rung my doorbell.

I can see some setting to adjust the volume, but even on the lowest level is way too loud.

There is no option to mute it entirely; it’s designed so the person who presses the doorbell knows they’ve done so. Sorry, there’s no better answer.

But I thought I read somewhere that for other model you could do that.
And it’s a bit strange that “design” is the way to alert whole neighbourhood about it - as even in lowest setting is loud.
Normal/old doorbells don’t make a sound when you ring them either - so I think that should be a choice that everyone can make them for themselves: if they want a sound and how loud.
Same as you can do with the indoor chime (set the volume or silence it if you want)

Hi, I havesame issue. Its a good doorbell but I am dissapointed why I cannot disable the sound.

Have you tied setting a response message as a silent recording?

I just purchased the E340 doorbell and found that same problem. I live in a townhouse with neighbourgs very close. Uggh that sound from the bell outside. It kind of gave me anxiety. I just hate that feature. I fixed it with the thin sheet foam from inside the box top. I cut a strip and lined the mounting bracket lower edge and covered the perforation for sound. And then eased the bell into place. Now the doorbell is very very muted and my anxiety is gone. I hope Eufy will skip that feature. It makes no sense.
