So i migrated to eufy from Wyze, and i am having a lot of trouble adjusting to the security settings. Mainly because disarm to me is disarming the “alarm” and here it seems to be deactivating everything instead.
It took me a few days to work out that disarming the security system essentially stopped all monitoring. (My partner who gets up early and leaves early was actually disarming it as that is what we used to do with the wyze alarm)
I did see that you can change the device settings in disarm mode - however this doesnt work at all, none of my cameras record anything even when i have selected them to record and notify.
Ive had to use the “Home” function in lieu (which is fine i guess) but its kinda annoying that i cant get the “disarm” mode to record and notify as per what this picture would suggest it can do.
Ideally i would have the Home function for when i go to bed (and want the cameras recording and alarms active). I know there is the custom button to mod that .. however to me i just want a simple AWAY (record outdoor and indoor and alarm), Home (record outdoor and indoor and alarm, minus bedroom window sensors) and then Disarm (record outside, indoor camera off and all sensor alarms off) and not have to rely on a custom button for what shoudl be quite straight forward.
I really dont see when i would ever even have the need to use disarm mode if all it does is turn everything off (like who is paying $$$ on these things just to have it turned off?)
Is this a known issue? Any workaround?
