Yes, you’re talking about the little photo image when you receive a text notification of movement?
Under settings for the device go to notifications and choose the one you’d like to receive.

Yes. Choose to receive a thumbnail with your notification.
to actually expand notification and play video within it, you have to tap and hold it. if you on iOS.
